Over the last few days, we have all been inundated with what is happening all around the world due to the COVID-19 outbreak. With the coronavirus spreading rapidly across the globe, the WHO (World Health Organization) has declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and the entire world is in lockdown stage.
The health and wellbeing of our BPK Techies is our utmost priority. During the initial days of pandemic, we have taken several measures such as temperature screening for all employees, placing sanitizers at our workplace, and advising our employees, who have a cold, fever or any flu-like symptoms to remain at home.
But, as Coronavirus positives cases have been increasing with each passing day, we conducted a three-day trial of mandatory work from home for our employees in the first week of March. This was completely new for us as an organization, and we had to learn to collaborate virtually to meet the commitments of our customers. After a successful and productive pilot WFH, we’ve extended our work from home for employees from mid-March to help maintain social distance, and keep our employees safe.
And our BPK Techies are enjoying our Work from Home, as we did share some laughs when kids joined some of our video calls when we hear mom’s scolding at home, or doorbells rang in the background.
Nevertheless, if there is one thing making the work from home experience smooth and efficient, it is our dedicated employees & their commitment. Thanks to their hard work and dedication towards the job.
But nothing replaces the human touch though, and we all BPK Techies miss our colleagues, the best buddies from office and team collaborations. Until everything gets normal, we have decided to flatten the curve by working remotely.
